THOR vs. THE TOMORROW PEOPLE

3201 S. Halsted
7pm-11pm FREE.
MUSIC BY: INTEL, MAKER
The All-Nation Smiley-Face Murder Clique
Could a national gang of serial killers that leaves smiley-face calling cards be getting away with murdering dozens of male college students by making all the deaths look like accidents? Who the fuck cares they have nothing on a fresh Kadism or Philly handstyle.

R.I.P. Tyler Fabeck
A fellow cyclist and friend to a man that lives in my building was killed early Sunday morning on his bike in Logan Square. Tyler Fabeck was struck while riding west on Logan Boulevard and turning south onto Western Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Sunday. The driver a 29-year-old woman has been cited with failing to reduce speed to avoid an accident, Tyler was pronounced dead at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center. In the upcoming weeks I will be documenting the installation of a ghost bike dedicated to the 22 year old. A co-worker of Tyler’s' mentioned to me that their employer Apple will be chartering a bus of 50 of Tyler's closest friends to his home town outside of Minneapolis for the wake and funeral.

Milo strikes again!

Legendary punk band ALL will be reuniting , Oct. 12 in Chicago at the Congress. The band will be reuniting with the Allroy’s Revenge, Allroy Saves, Percolater and Trailblazer lineup:
Scott Reynolds (vocals), Bill Stevenson (drums), Karl Alvarez (guitar) and Stephen Egerton (bass). This ALL lineup has not performed together in 20 years.

Frontman Scott Reynolds commented:
Stephen is going to jump a motorcycle over 10 flaming school buses, then save all the children inside them before they burn up! Bill is going to levitate, then disappear, then reappear on Karl's shoulders who will be riding a unicycle on a tightrope made from dental floss suspended 100 ft. above the stage. And I'm going to give one lucky audience member a makeover that will take 10 years off his/her appearance! So we better start practicing!! Everybody should come because it's going to rock sooo hard,
Because of this, tickets for ALL’s Riot Fest 2008 mainstage performance (Oct. 12 at the Congress Theatre) will go on sale Thursday, April 24 at 8 a.m. CST on www.indietickets.com for the weekend or until these limited tickets sell out.

More guns will solve the problem

Police plan to respond to this weekends shootings with with gun, tactical gang teams and SWAT officers deployed in battle gear.

Police Supt. Jody Weis planned to deploy SWAT as part of summer patrols, but the department is accelerating the plan because of the weekend's shootings.

"We haven't done this in a while,'' department spokeswoman Monique Bond said. "It's an aggressive message that law enforcement is taking this very seriously."
